Graduation

Middle of the night, his voice wakes you. You sit up, blinking your eyes. A rolled up piece of paper is placed in your palm. Sheets pulled around your shoulders like a gown. Hand under your ass pushing you to stand. Something on your head… The tassel tickles.

“Brian, what…?”

Music interrupts… Pomp and Circumstance.

“You didn’t get to go to your fucking graduation. You don‘t need it… but maybe you feel like you missed something.”

But found more. The sweet side he hides in the dark. You kiss him.

“Thank you.”

He nods, smiling. “Justin Taylor, graduate… Now, march.”

Made me hot. Made me want to weep. How Brian kissed me and knew instantly… I’d already broken my own damn rule.

Could he taste him, or just the guilt on my lips?

It wasn’t like I’d wanted desperately to kiss the kid. I felt bad for him. I know how lucky I was, having Brian for my first. Gave me his mouth, body, experience, patience. Everything but his heart. (Found it, anyway.)

Shit, I was cruel to that guy. He’ll probably turn straight. But…

Needed to erase it. Hurt him (not Brian).

LOL...I have this mental image of Justin standing naked in their bedroom w/his cap on & the tassel just "swinging in the breeze"!

I really enjoyed the second one because I always felt that, regardless of Brian's inability (*g* and yes, IMHO, it was an "inability", not a "choice")to tell Justin what his feelings were, HE was the one who didn't renege on their deal from Season Two regardless of how difficult it must have been for him.

I suppose one could mount a case for Justin's behaviour based on his age. However, the way the character was written and progressed throughout the episodes clearly indicated, IMO, that he should have been able to control his emotions a tad better than he did.

LOL...sorry for the tangent! Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the drabbles, and I definitely enjoy your writing! Please keep it up!

I always thought it was a shame Justin didn't get to go to his graduation (not that he would've wanted to after what happened at prom even if he could have, but...). I figured Brian would acknowledge it very low-key, sneaking nice gestures in the wee hours, lol.

And silly Justin. Couldn't you have just given the guy a hug after you deflowered him?? But I kind of forgave him with this drabble.
