-I don't see them as much the same as I think others do mostly because there was no Severus for Ginny. Unless you count Cedric for Harry. And I'm not sure I understand as much of the James/Lily/Severus mess as I want too. I feel like there could be a whole other swarm of goodness in how that worked itself up.

Ultimately I don't really have much conviction about Potter. It's all in the tale someone wants to tell me as to whether or not I buy Snape/Dumbledore.

Totally random, almost not related story:
YEARS ago I was reading a GH fic where Michael was three (because he actually was three) and dressing up for Halloween as Harry Potty. Yes, Harry Potty. He had a toilet seat as part of his costume which he desinged himself. Ever since then I have had a hard time not typing/thinking Harry Potty in a snooty British accent instead.

No, there wasn't, at least not in terms of situation. James and Severus were both presented as combinations of Harry and Draco in terms of personality. The beauty of the possibility of Severus and Lily that was shown in book 7 just totally reinformed the "what could be"/"what could have been" I already had in my head about Draco and Ginny :)
