Day 21 - Favorite series finale
Sex and the City

It wasn't going to be QAF, lol ;-b

It's really hard to find a more perfect series finale than Sex and the City. Yes, there have been two movies since, one of which I've seen (and was good). But I resisted watching past the TV finale for a long time, because it is that perfect and that satisfying. All the characters have grown into right where and who they need to be and be with and... *sigh* you're happy. You'll miss them, but you know they'll be okay (without you, lol). :):):)

Here's the last scene(s). Couldn't find it all in one piece.

Yeah. I guess the movie did a good job with how they ended them, but I still prefer to only remember the finale and have them still together :)

Big was a lovable ass. And you kind of forgave him any and everything when he told the girls they were the loves of Carrie's life and a guy was lucky to come in 4th.

And to a certain extent I understood and respected Big's assishness. That other dude always annoyed me and I rarely watched when he was one. I missed whole seasons because of him.

I try to remember them that way too, still together and supportive. I understood why Samantha needed to get away from him being her entire existence but I really wanted them to be happy together for a much longer time. Yhay are like the straight Brian and Justin only with less orgies.

I liked the other dude, lol. Loved Aidan, actually. Doesn't mean he was right for her. And really, a lot of Big's assishness was called for. I'd say in 2 out of 3 Big and Carrie conflicts, she was the one being an idiot.

S&S are totally B&J :)

I never bought him as a real guy. Barishenkov was real, Berger was real, Big was real, Aidan was a drug induced daydream.

Carrie was kind of an idiot. I mean, look at her closet...

Lol. I was quite fond of the Russian. Not a great boyfriend for long-term, but still.

Berger was real. (Post-it note, srsly? lol) But I definitely consider him the least important of her relationships. I've always meant to do a Carrie and her loves vid to Alanis M's "Unsent" that would feature Big, Aidan, Petrovsky, but I would leave out Berger and put in the guy David Duchovny played for only one episode. They were pretty great.

Berger was crap. Real but crap. I had a boyfriend just like that.

I don't remember the DD character with any real clarity but Varrie has dated so many people (scooter boy was a trip) that you could repopulate a small farm town.

I think the vid idea is awesome. DO IT!

DD was her high school sweetheart who'd had a nervous breakdown.

The vid is definitely on my list :) I saw a Buffy vid to the song that gave me the idea. Xander was who the DD character would be, Angel equated to Big, Riley was Aidan (HAH, you love that don't you?), Spike was the Russian. At the end it was sort of scenes of everyone, and I'd have scenes of Carrie and the girls ("loves of her life").

Aww. Ew, Riley. I can see that being a good vid, and not just because the vidder seems to agree with me.
