Taking a time-out for couple #21...
Mar. 17th, 2005 11:44 pmI know I'm supposed to talk about my life in these things, but I much prefer gushing about my couples, so let's return briefly to #21 (because I've been watching my Soap DVD's). Danny and Elaine, on the surface, sound very similar to GH's Sonny and Lily... Her father was a gangster who forced Danny to marry her, and once they were finally happy she got killed. But, greatly due to Elaine being so... I can't even think of a word for her personality, except maybe gangbusters, lol... plus she and Danny's unique exchanges, they remind me a little of Sonny and Carly and a lot of no other couple I've ever seen. I mean, have you ever heard of a first meeting like this?
Danny worked for Elaine's dad but was supposed to be killed after refusing to do a job (kill his stepfather). He ran for a while, always in disguises, but got tired of it and decided he needed to just talk to the guy, which he would do by breaking into his house (which D's brother Jody said was like "a chicken walking in the front door of Colonel Sanders" lol). Turns out he breaks in, wearing all black and a ski mask, through Elaine's room. The guard dogs start barking, scare him, he trips and tumbles over her bed (which she's in), she screams and grabs her gun, aims it...
