TV meme: day 6

Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite TV Show
"Tempus Anyone?" (Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman)

Okay, yes, I am somewhat cheating. I had L&C down as my runner-up favorite show. But my favorite show (Friends) had 236 episodes! For L&C (only 87), there's a standout ep for me.

It was season 3, and the second episode to feature H.G. Wells and Tempus (the time-traveling villain played by Lane Davies). Lois ends up in a parallel universe where Clark has not become Superman, and she has to teach him how to be Superman to save Metropolis/the world. It breaks your heart, because you almost want her to stay there with parallel Clark, because that universe's Lois is dead (he never met her), and the Kents are dead also. And he's almost her Clark, but he's not, and she has to get back to her (fiancé!) Clark.

Found one clip! (audio's a little weird but I'll take it, lol)

I have realized, however, regarding Friends, looking at episode guides, it probably had the most consistently brilliant Thanksgiving episodes of any show ever, lol. I may have to do a post just about those.

I liked that episode I was a big Lois and Clark fan. My fave ep of from show is the episode of the Cosby show when the family does the lip synching routine for the grandparents anniversary. "Baby" by Ray Charles.

Never saw Lois and Clark, but does sound like a good episode.

One of my favorite shows besides.. M*A*S*H was Saint Elsewhere and my favorite episode was the final one.... it turned out that after 6 years... the entire show... ended up to be the imagination of one of the main character's autistic son Tommy...while he sat in his room staring at a snow globe...with a miniature of the hospital!!! what a surprise ending... that and the fact that is was one of Denzel Washington's first roles was amazing.....

Oh, Lois & Clark. Far and away my favorite Superman thing--take that Smallville.

That show was one of the first things I ever squeed about with another human being. I still remember running in to school lunch to gab with my friend Leah about certain episodes (the clone ones--ick), casting choices (Bronson Pinchot--haazah), and Lois' hair (the short do never really grew on me).

I think my favorite episode was later, season four maybe, when someone caught Lois "cheating" on Clark with Superman. But there were so many good ones. Like the one where Jimmy got all old (poor recast Olsen).

Bronson Pinchot as The Prankster was totally in the top 5 of the show's villains. Possibly top 3, actually, along with Lane Davies' Tempus and (of course) John Shea's delicious Lex Luthor.

Yes! Overall, I thought season 4 was a bit weak, but I remember that episode as one of the strong ones. Brilliant concept :) And it had Jack Wagner and "Downtown" Julie Brown!!

"Downtown" Julie Brown! I loved her. For a while--in my refeusal to get involed with anything to do with the Spice Girls--I disliked her because I thought she'd become Scary Spice. Ah, youth.

Top Three for the WIN!
